Show me the way

In February I had the opportunity to travel to Cambodia through Yoga International. I honestly didn't know that I had any appetite for travel to South East Asia, but sign me up! I had an amazing time and I hope you caught some of the images on my Instagram.

One of the main reasons it was such a successful trip was due to our guides, Silen and Kanha (below) who made an incredible experience extraordinary.

Guides are individuals who have extensive knowledge and experience in a particular area and can help others navigate the way. They are adept at showing the way in a smart and time-released manner, meaning that they break down complex information into manageable chunks and provide guidance in a step-by-step fashion. By doing so, guides make it easier for their us to absorb information, retain it, and apply it effectively. Guides build trust through their expertise, experience, and willingness to help others. They listen attentively to their clients' concerns, offer tailored advice, and provide support throughout the journey.

Similarly, our guide for my upcoming 2024 retreat to Africa, Simon Mtuy (below) comes with a quite an impressive story. I have yet to meet him, but I am already looking forward to what will be a once in a lifetime adventure to Tanzania. Click HERE to see the Itinerary. Registration is also below.

I am so inspired by the knowledge, warmth and compassion that was shown to me by our guides. My hope is that no matter if it is a retreat, a workshop, or a class I am facilitating that I show up and model a combination of knowledge, empathy, and leadership. Someone who not only has a deep understanding of the area yoga + mindfulness, but takes the time and can understand the needs and interests of the students and guests. I hope you will consider joining me.
xoxo
