Three Little Birds
Friday night we headed to the city to grab something to eat and the hubs said, "It is going to take an hour to park in that neighborhood."
My reply. "Don't say that. We have to manifest a great spot right now."
A left on Foster and a right on Clark and you know what? There was a parking spot directly in front of our intended establishment.
Manifesting is the belief that by focusing your thoughts, energies, and intentions on a desired outcome, it can be brought into reality. The concept is rooted in the idea that the mind has a powerful influence on shaping your experience, i.e., if you think you are going to have a poor experience, brace yourself, it is going to be shit show. Advocates of manifestation argue that by maintaining a positive mindset, we can attract and bring about those desires in our lives. The process is as simple as visualizing or cultivating a belief that the desired outcome is not only possible but INEVITABLE. I am not sure there could be any scientific basis for manifestation, and honestly, I don’t really care. But I do believe that it is a tool for personal development and maintaining a positive outlook on life. Within a spiritual or psychological lens, manifesting can align our thoughts and actions with the fulfillment of our aspirations.
The holidays are the perfect time to utilize this tool. By fostering a positive mindset and setting intentions for an enjoyable experience, we are more likely to approach the season with optimism and resilience. Keep up with the practices that allow you to stay focused and true to yourself as it is easy to get swept up in the energies of the season. This focus on health encourages positive habits, such as making better choices in terms of what we consume, reducing stressful situations or conversations, and promoting overall well-being. It can also enhance relationships, contribute to a more mindful and present mindset, and empower individuals to actively shape the holiday experience you desire.
Do not think for one second I have this figured out...my family if reading this right now and thinking "Put your money where your mouth is."
